When you get pregnant, your body is already in need of more calories but smoking even reduces the weight instead of gaining. According to the medical experts, from hundred to three hundred more calories needs to be taken by the pregnant women. Even the intake of calories increases in the third trimester and rise up to 450.  Spread peanut butter on the toast, apple or banana. It really helps in gaining good amount of calories. One tablespoon of butter is equal to hundred calories. Adding condiments to meals like butter, cream and cheese also helps in gaining weight. How much weight should you gain during pregnancy? You must gain 25 to 35 pounds at the end of the pregnancy if you possess normal weight at the time of conceiving.
Probiotics are one of the healthy supplements that must be used in daily pregnancy diet. They are commonly found in the foods like fresh yogurt and its drinks, soya beans and its drinks etc. One of the most popular probiotics is lactobacillus acidophilus which is found in the fresh yogurt. Live and active cultures of bacteria mentioned on the label of the probiotics must be purchased. Otherwise, they may not be effective. Probiotics while pregnant helps in dealing with intestinal upsets, inflammatory bowel disease like yeast infection. They colonize the intestine with the friendly or good bacteria and thus bad bacteria growth gets restricted or limited.
