Is Eating Too Much For Weight Gain Safe In Pregnancy?


Eating too much or eating too little both is not advisable for pregnant women. Eating a well balanced diet which includes all vitamins, minerals, and nutrients helps in gaining the accurate weight gain. If pregnant women gain too much then chances of caesarian section are high and if too low then new born baby would be underweight.

If you are pregnant and underweight then you must gain 28 to 40 pounds of weight whereas if you are obese then the range would starts from 11 pounds to 20 pounds.  Average weight gain during pregnancy is 25 to 35 pounds which must be attained at the end of the pregnancy.
